Physical Automation (Pneumatics)
Industrial Automation
Hands-on experience in electropneumatic automation built throughout my Mechanical Technician program (ETEC) and deepened at SENAI — assembling circuits on FESTO physical simulation panels, designing air-logic systems, and integrating electropneumatic controls with sensors, push-buttons, and solenoid valves. I achieved top scores in practical assessments at both institutions, regularly using lab equipment outside class hours to build additional circuits on my own initiative.
On the pneumatic side, I worked the full component cycle: single and double-acting actuators, directional valves, pressure regulators, and distribution lines — implementing automatic cycles with end-of-stroke return and combined sequences. On the electropneumatic side, I integrated position and proximity sensors, solenoid-operated valves, and interlocking circuits with self-holding contacts. Enrolling in Control and Automation Engineering at UNIFEI was the direct next step of this path — moving toward PLCs, HMIs, and industrial-grade control logic.
